What are the most common types of events at Bethaday Community Learning Space (BCLS?)

BCLS is a great facility for conferences, meetings, workshops or classes, wedding ceremonies, receptions, holiday parties, and other celebrations.

The facility is available for rental starting as early as 8:00 a.m. On weekends, all events must conclude by 11:00 p.m., with up to one additional hour allotted for cleanup. All guests must exit the building by midnight on weekends and by 10:00 p.m. on weekdays. Please note that your rental time should include both set-up and cleanup.

The client must secure commercial general liability insurance (certificate of insurance) from his or her insurance company and list TAF as insured for primary and noncontributory limits of liability. Coverage of at least $1,000,000 and combined single limit per occurrence/claim and aggregate respectively for bodily injury/property damage is required.

No. We don’t sell insurance, but there are event insurance companies online that provide coverage for one-time events. Search online for “one-day event insurance.” The following is a list of Event Insurance Companies that our previous customers have used:

www.eventhelper.com
www.markelamerican.com
www.wedsafe.com
www.vensura.co

The BCLS does not endorse the use of any of these companies. We are providing the list as a courtesy to our customers only.

No security or damage deposit is required to reserve a space at BCLS.

Yes, alcohol is permitted. A valid banquet permit is required and must be posted at the designated bar area for the duration of the event. Banquet permits can be purchased HERE.

No, but you will need to purchase a banquet permit from the WA State Liquor Control Board online at lcb.wa.gov/licensing/order-banquet-permits-online. The client is responsible for making sure alcohol is not served to or consumed by minors. The legal responsibility for any guest’s consumption of alcohol rests with the individual signing the rental contract and the individual purchasing the WA State Liquor Banquet permit.

The BCLS receives payments through our secure online customer portal called Tripleseat. We will provide the link for you to approve your proposal and make a payment.

The BCLS has a strict cancellation policy. Please be sure that you are certain you want the venue before booking it. We highly recommend that you tour the venue before booking.
